Macao (chin. Aomen) 28,2 km² harbourtown in the estuary mouth delta of the Pearl river and ancient portuguese colony, which in the year of 1999 has been integrated as special administration region (Regia Administrativa Especial de Macau da Republica Popular da China) to the People Republic of China. Macao in Europe is called, because of the rush of amousement arcades (casinos), the Monte Carlo of the East, and in the USA it is called Las Vegas of the West. View to the historic city center over the Senado Square to Leal Senado, the headoffice of the portuguese government until the year of 1999.
